As the job implies, an Admissions Coordinator/Marketer fosters the relationship between patients and the facilities providing their care. Admissions Coordinators establish patients' eligibility for care, communicating with families, and interacting with a wide range of staff members from case managers to families to physicians. A. TECHNICAL:  Establishes the patients eligibility for admission to the facility.  Reviews patients' medical records.  Explains care options to patients and their families.  Interacts with a variety of hospital staff.  Coordinates with the facility staff to ensure that each patient has a smooth transition from hospital/home to facility.  Schedules & attends community events.  Develops relationships in the community on behalf of the facility.  Works with the company marketing team to bring awareness of the facility's strengths and services.  Trains new employees who serve as Clinical Liaisons.  Builds relationships with contracted and non-contracted Managed Care companies on behalf of PHC.  Researches expanding our managed care providers. B. ADMINISTRATIVE:  Meets with facility Quality Assurance team Quarterly.  Makes facility rounds weekly to survey patients to ensure all the patients needs are met.  Evaluates facility Customer Service quarterly and gives in-services as needed. Works closely with PHC Contracts Manager to ensure highest quality of rates in the area.  Attends facilities weekly Rehab Meetings and provides HMO with weekly updates on their patients. C. CONSUMER SERVICE/GUEST RELATIONS:  Presents professional image to consumers through dress, behavior, and speech.  Adheres to Company standards for resolving consumer concerns.  Adheres to all consumer and resident rights.  Ensures that residents and families are welcomed and feel comfortable.  Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills.  Experience in general office procedure including typing and computer skills necessary.  Must be customer service oriented.  Experience working in the healthcare industry. D.
