• Assists the resident with activities of daily living:
A. Bathes or assists resident to bathe, provides evening care, and incontinence care. B. Grooming; including care of hair and fingernails. C. Assists in dressing and undressing. D. Assists with meal tray, feeds resident as needed, and provides between meal nourishments and fluids as assigned. E. Toilets resident. F. • Recognizes resident’s strengths and uses rehabilitative nursing techniques to restore or maintain the resident's independence:

• Assists in meeting the resident's socio-emotional needs:

Transports residents from one nursing unit to another. C. Accompanies residents to the patio. D. Performs other related duties as assigned and may rotate among various units.

PATIENT CARE ASSISTANT - CNA
A. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Nursing Assistant assists the resident in performing activities of daily living, provides a clean and safe living environment, gathers data on the resident’s physical and emotional state, and reports observations to the nurse in charge.
• Assists the resident with activities of daily living:
A. Bathes or assists resident to bathe, provides evening care, and incontinence care.
B. Grooming; including care of hair and fingernails.

• Performs patient assessments by developing, implementing, and evaluating Patient Care Plans. • Performs treatments, administers medications, and/or implements other nursing interventions as indicated by the Patient Care Plan and/or Physician Order. • Provides nursing care in accordance with infection control standards. • Follows safety policies when performing nursing care. • Initiates emergency measures according to Center policy and within standards of nursing practice.

D. CONSUMER SERVICE:• Presents professional image to consumers through dress, behavior, and speech. • Adheres to Company standards for resolving consumer concerns. • Ensures that all patient rights are protected.
E. QUALIFICATIONS:• Current nursing licensure in the state of California required. • Written and verbal communication skills in English as business necessity. • Administrative and organizational abilities necessary. • Current CPR certification required. • One year of nursing experience preferred. • Supervisory experience preferred.
